Death to Alternative

BY ZEP

I'll say it loud and proud.

Death to the label of "alternative" music.

When you think about it...what is "alternative" anyways? What does it even mean?

I'll tell you what it means.

"Alternative" is just a label that bands and artists use in order to classify themselves as different from the norm. But of course, that doesn't even work anymore, because EVERY band is "alternative" nowadays.

It's all bullshit. All these little sub-genres form because people are mortified of being compared to anything else, but they don't end up sounding any different than anyone else either.

Just accept your music for what it is...I could give a shit less about what your "classification" is.

Entertain my ears and stop messing with my mind.
